IP & Legal Reference

The durable record of what Hummingbird owns and protects — the entity, the marks and frameworks, the domains, and how protection is staged across the business. A standing reference for any IP conversation, advisor, or filing. Meeting-specific prep — objectives and questions for each firm — lives in its own documents, listed at the foot of this page.

01 · The entity

The company, in one read.

Hummingbird Tech Group Pty Ltd is a Perth-based technology company building operational infrastructure for independent businesses — founders, sole traders, and micro-teams. A single proprietary-limited entity with a sole founder, self-funded, pre-revenue, and approaching launch.

The first product, the Systems Drag Index, launches Thursday 25 June 2026 as a paid online diagnostic. The platform that follows it, seeRP, is still in build; from launch day it appears publicly on the Hummingbird website as in development, which is its first public use as a mark. The business is global and digital from day one — targeting Australia, the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and the EU.

02 · Assets to protect

The marks and frameworks.

The intellectual property the business rests on. Each asset, what it is, where it stands publicly, and any timing relevant to filing. The launch product and the corporate brand are the immediate priorities; seeRP and its licensing mark are unreleased and can be staged.

04 · Revenue model

How the business earns — context for classes and licensing.

Revenue runs across several streams: Systems Drag Index paid diagnostic reports, Systems Drag Index licensing, seeRP subscriptions, and partner licensing under "Powered by seeRP". International expansion is intended from the outset. A global SaaS plus digital-assessment business — relevant to which trade-mark classes and territories matter, and to where licensing protection needs to sit.

05 · Protection approach

Staged by greatest protection per dollar.

The company is pre-revenue, so protection is sequenced rather than filed all at once — priority where exposure is highest, staged where it can safely wait. seeRP™ now sits in the priority group rather than the staged one: it appears publicly as "in development" on the Hummingbird website from launch day, so its first public disclosure shares the 25 June deadline. Protection is understood to run wider than trade marks alone: trade marks for the brand and product names, copyright in the framework's written materials and the documents it produces, and trade secret for the methodology itself.

The open question carried into any IP conversation is whether the framework itself can be protected, or only its name — and how copyright and trade secret sit alongside the registered mark. The marks table above flags what is public, what is unreleased, and where first-use or protect-versus-defer calls are still to be confirmed.
